Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a private surf lesson cost?

A private surf lesson costs 80€ per person, with one-on-one coaching from start to finish.

Are private lessons good for beginners?

Yes. Private lessons suit complete beginners as well as surfers who want to improve – the spot and the coaching are matched to your level.

How long does a lesson last?

Each session lasts 3–4 hours in total, depending on the beach we go to. It includes theory on the beach, understanding the conditions, safety and practice time in the water.

Do I need to be able to swim?

Yes. You don’t need to be a strong swimmer, but you should be able to swim at least 15 metres on your own.

What do I need to bring?

Just water, a towel and sunscreen, plus a swimsuit to wear under the wetsuit. The wetsuit and a surfboard matched to your size are included.

Where do the lessons take place?

We choose the beach each day based on the forecast and your level, around the north of Fuerteventura. Pick-up and drop-off are available in Corralejo, Majanicho, Lajares and El Cotillo.

The groups are small, which means that every participant gets a lot of feedback and attention. Michelle managed to choose times and spots with little to no crowds - sometimes we were literally alone in the water!
